why did my coworkers laugh at me for wanting to watch a child?

OK i am a single soldier. One day i was looking in the base paper and it said need people to watch children on the weekend i thought about doing it since kids and babies are cool, but this would be my first time. They heard about what i wanted to do and laughed at me and i never did go to that cdc center. i was sad.

they probable laughed because you are single and (i assume don’t have kids of your own. (correct?) ) were thinking he has no idea what he’s getting himself into. yes kids are cool, but also a lot of hard work. ignore their laughs. if you want to babysit, go for it. and since it will be your first time, make sure you ask a lot of questions. ignore the posts that said they thought of a pedofile first, i just thought of a guy who was looking for extra work and came across the ad for a babysitter. don’t be sad, who knows, you could turn into a really cool mentor and role model for a child who may not have one if you didn’t answer the ad. answer the ad and ignore what all the others say. if you don’t get the job or are too late, call me i’ll let you babysit.(haha)
